Shipping Policy
The purchaser of all alcoholic beverages is representing that he/she is acting in compliance with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered. All wines are sold in CA, and title passes to the buyer in CA. WineXposure make’s no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside of CA. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines. By placing an order, you authorize WineXposure to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.
Due to direct shipping laws and regulations, WineXposure may be unable to facilitate the shipment of wine by Customers to certain states. The regulations and court decisions affecting the interstate shipment of wine are constantly changing. WineXposure encourages consumers interested in their freedom of choice to purchase wine from any state to visit Specialty Wine Retailers Association, a trade group that is intent on ensuring consumer access to a national wine market.
Customer may specify a ship-to address in any state. The Customer is responsible for importation of their wine into the jurisdiction of their shipping address.
If you live in a state where the direct shipment of wine is not permitted, WineXposure can ship your order to an alternative address in another state or have your wine shipped to a third-party storage facility in a direct shipping-friendly state.
Ground, 2Day, 3Day and overnight shipping: WineXposure ship’s via common carrier (UPS, DHL and FedEx) using a variety of shipping methods. Orders shipping ground, 2-day, and 3-day or overnight service typically ship the same day if it is a business day and the order was placed prior to 3pm PST. WineXposure does not ship ground or 3 day packages late in the week to avoid having your wine sit in a warehouse over the weekend. If you need special shipping arrangements, please call us.
Unless you live on the West Coast, WineXposure strongly discourages you from selecting "Ground Service" as your shipping method. During the winter and summer months, weather conditions (temperature) and longer delivery times can often result in the spoilage of your order.
Risk of loss: All items purchased from winexposure.com are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
Adverse weather conditions: Adverse weather conditions are those that may damage a wine in transit. WineXposure defines these as temperature readings or predicted temperatures (as predicted by shipcomplaint.com) of greater than 75 degrees or less than 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures are considered at our warehouse on the shipping date and at the destination location on the estimated arrival date.
Weather checks: WineXposure will perform a weather check prior to shipping and will hold any shipment that is expected to experience adverse weather conditions (as defined above). WineXposure refers to this type of hold as a "weather hold."
Weather Hold: If your shipment is subject to a weather hold, you will be notified by email by close of business (PST) on your shipment date. Upon weather hold, you may ask us to waive the hold by returning the email or calling Customer Service. If you do not respond, WineXposure will automatically attempt to ship the following week. If after the second attempt WineXposure is unable to ship, WineXposure will hold your order until you re-request shipment.
Tracking numbers: Once your shipment has been sent, you will receive an automatic email from the carrier containing the tracking number and information for your shipment.
